2000:
Played in his 9th season with the Bills (11th NFL) and was never more valuable...enjoyed one of his finest seasons and it would be difficult to find a more clutch kicker in the NFL...of the Bills' first five wins, four were made possible by Christie FGs in the final minute or OT and three were on the game's final play...topped the 100-point mark for the 8th time in his nine-year career with the Bills; of the sixteen 100-point seasons in team history, Christie has eight of them...became the first Bill to earn three Player of the Week honors in the same season (vs. Ten; vs. SD; at NE).; has been named Player of the Week seven times during his career, tying him with Morten Andersen for second in honors by a kicker, just one behind John Carney with eight ...earned a game ball and AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors following his three FG performance in the season opener vs. Ten. (9/4); connected from 33, 41 and 42 yards; his 33-yarder won it with just 0:31 seconds remaining... had a perfect day against vs. GB (9/10), connecting on two field goals (20 & 45) and three extra points...perfect on two PAT's at NYJ (9/17) but had a 43-yard field goal attempt partially blocked in the game...a perfect three for three in field goals against Indy (10/1)...perfect at Mia. (10/8) hitting from 23 and 45 yards...again earned AFC Player of the Week honors for his role in an OT victory vs. SD (10/15); with 7 seconds remaining in regulation, kicked a 29-yard field goal to send the game into overtime and then kicked a 46-yard FG in OT to beat the Chargers...perfect again in week seven against at Min. (10/23); nailed two field goals (25 & 48) and three PATs against the Vikings...had another excellent game capped off by his 34-yard game-winning field goal with no time on the clock vs. NYJ (10/29); made 3-4 FG's on the day and his lone miss was blocked by the Jets...earned AFC Player of the Week honors for a third time in 2000 after OT win at NE (11/5); forced OT with a  48-yarder into the wind and rain with just 4 seconds remaining and then won the game with a 32-yarder in OT...connected on two of three field goals vs. Chi. (11/12) hitting from 27 and 42 but missing from 39... scored his 1,000th point with the Bills at Ind. (12/11) and became just the 18th player in NFL history to score over 1,000 points with one team... hit one of three field goals (25) in the blizzard-like conditions vs. NE (12/17); his two misses came because of the snow and wind covered field as both were blocked by the Patriots; broke the 100-point barrier on the season vs. NE for the 8th time in his nine seasons with the Bills...tied his single-game best with six PATs in the season finale at Sea.
